We have had a RevereWare set for about 10 years and it was falling apart. I searched and found the Cuisinart 14 piece Chef's Choice set fit our needs. My wife wanted an all stainless set, but was hesitant with all the talk about difficult clean-up and burning of food. That couldn't be further from the truth with this set. We have used it every day for about a month now and have not come across any issues with clean-up or buring of food. I use a gas range and have no problem with heat control or having to use "half" the heat setting like other reviews suggest. We do plan ahead when moving from a boil to a simmer, as it takes time for the pan to cool down. Every pot I have ever used gets water spots from boiling with hard water and this is not a sore spot with me. The ONLY concern I have is that the set is made in CHINA and was not aware of this at the time of purchase. I am requesting that Cuisinart send me a written warranty that covers MATERIALS and NOT just workmanship. It has been quite evident from recent news items that CHINA has had an established history using/manufacturing with toxic chemicals (melamine in baby formula and lead paint in childrens toys for example). I hope that Cuisinart is assuring that the stainless being used is actually stainless and not a toxic brew with other heavy metals. I would reccomend this set to those who would like a good stainless set at a good price.

Sticky Skillets - Benjamin Van Kammen -
Used to have a pretty positive take on the Cuisinart brand before owning their products. Now I will never buy them again. We asked for a set of their cookware and a food processor for our wedding 2 years ago. The food processor bit the dust and the company won't do anything for me. The pans in our cookware set are tolerable, but the skillets stick to everything like glue. Horrible experience. I want to take a sledge hammer to them in the backyard, but the wife won't let me. Yet.

I was looking for a cookware set that was safe and didn't have chemicals from teflon. I feel I got a great deal for what I paid. I have to say that I usually have to clean the saute pans by hand with a "green" SOS pad. My dishwasher isn't the problem, as it is new and well rated. So, if your planning on purchasing this set plan on cleaning some of the pans by hand. When you clean them they clean up easily. I have no regrets for purchasing this item.

I LOVE this set! The quickness and the evenness of heating is remarkable. They may not be non-stick, but having worked with metal for over a quarter century I was able to wet-sand the inside of the saute/fry pans to 2500 grit, and, with a little oil, they are just wonderful. I researched for a cookware set a lot. I wanted to get the most for my money since I was on a budget. I came across this set after reading a lot of reviews that for the most part were very helpful. I decided to buy this set based upon what I have read about them. I have had this set for a month now.If you are looking to buy an expensive set don't even bother. This set is great. I cook every night with this set and haven't found anything to complain about. They cook very evenly, durable, clean up is very easy and they look great. I have had no problems with this set at all and if you are familiar with cooking with stainless steel I believe you will enjoy this set as much as I do and for the money you can't go wrong. As a college student who is very into cooking, but also very low on cash, this was the perfect pan for me! Not only is it a fantastic pan - really good weight, nice heat conduction and spreading - but it was very inexpensive on Amazon. I thought it was pretty cool that cuisinart includes some recipes for you to try in the pan as well - I've done one of them already and it was extremely tasty. Furthermore, I haven't had ANY problem keeping this pan clean and shiny even after using it for a while! This is truly a great buy if you want (need?) to move beyond the aweful non-stick starter pans that you get at a grocery store and you can't beat the price.

I purchased the 10 inch open skillet, 6 - quart sauce pot, 12 inch every day pan, and 3 quart chef's pan from the Cuisinart Chef's Classic Stainless line. I believe that these are about all the pans you really need for a typical kitchen, along with perhaps a smaller pot and a small non-stick pan for eggs.

I have been using these pots and pans for a few months, and I am enjoying using them. Not to mention that you can't beat the price for this kind of quality cookware. I feel that these pans will last for a very long time.

This is a perfect starter set that includes the basic pots and pan you'll need to cook for 1-2 people. They conduct heat well and the handles stay cool. The only reason I was reluctant to buy this set was because I wanted a frying pan that came with a lid. So I was so happy when I learned that the lid to the stock pot also fits the frying pan! Perfect!

The only negative is that a cloudy haze has developed on the frying that I can't completely get rid of and after I boiled some pasta with the large saucepan, some speckled black spots appeared which I can't get rid of no matter how hard I scrub. I even followed the suggestion in the care instruction manual and boiled some water with dish detergent in it, but the spots are still there. Otherwise, I'm happy with the set.

I have these pans in the 10 and 12 inch sizes. I Like them very much, weight is good not too heavy nor too light. I wash them in the dishwasher even though they recommend handwashing.

I would actually prefer to have these smaller sized pans as the 10" is a little large for cooking for just one.

The nonstick surface is good quality. Again they are not comprable to All Clad in weight but are a good compromise and they don't cost over 0.

Very easy to clean up. I have not cooked anything yet that has stuck to the pan. Good weight. Good looks.

My only cons are the handles are to long for my taste. It just means they take up more room in the dishwasher. Also, there is a bolt head inside the pan where the handle connects. This just creats a spot for food to get stuck on.

This stuff is great! Had to learn how to cook all over again - alot less heat necessary. But even burnt food cleans easily. Washing as opposed to loading dishwasher is no big deal. Most of the time I didn't have room for pots and pans anyway and these clean so easily it doesn't pose a problem. I did buy a couple of additional pieces because I do alot of cooking, have all the family on holidays... So that just gave me some cushion on what I use. You won't be sorry if you get this.

Excellent product. Was a bit concerned about the glass tops with hot handles. Turns out the handles can get a bit warm, but nothing that would burn anyone. The glass tops are solidly built and offer a good view of the food cooking.

The cookware is good. I'm distressed it's made in China though. If I had known this before I had ordered it I would have bought another product.

I looked at many sets of stainless and found Cuisinart to be the best buy online through Amazon. When I received the set, I was absolutely delighted by my decision. It's beautiful and with the flat bottom fits so nicely on my flat-top range. It make cooking even more fun when I see the set on my stove cooking away. Not just plain practical for the price and function, but a fantastic bargain for the price. I'd recommend this set to anyone looking for a value in cookware.

My boyfriend and I love to cook. You could say that we cook better than the average person, and we both loved the pan. Food browns beautyfully, I've stir-fried vegetables, made sauces, and everything has come out great. I do use a little bit of olive oil, but I use the same amount I use in my hard anodized non-stick pans. I followed instructions and so far, nothing I've cooked has stuck to it, and cleaning it is usually pretty easy. If you put some water in it while you eat, cleaning it is a breeze. If you let it get cold and dry and it's not as easy to clean, you just need to put some water and heat it up for a little bit, and that's it, everything comes off.

I absolutely recomend this pan. I'm planning on buying a few more products from this line, and I also want to try Cuisinart's multiclad cookware, if I love this line, that one must be amazing.

I thought it was pretty cool that cuisinart includes some recipes for you to try in the pan as well - I've done one of them already and it was extremely tasty. Furthermore, I haven't had ANY problem keeping this pan clean and shiny even after using it for a while! This is truly a great buy if you want (need?) to move beyond the aweful non-stick starter pans that you get at a grocery store and you can't beat the price.

We have owned this set for six months and are quite pleased with it.

We were leary of stainless at first, but wanted to make the switch from non-stick finishes after hearing some of the negatives about them. The price fit our budget, and we really liked the smoooth lines of the style.

Cleanup is NOT the hassle that some people would lead you to believe. Cheese has been the only thing we have had an issue with. Easy solution -- put a bit of baking soda and water in the pan and boil for a short time on the stove. The mess wipes right out! To keep them shiny we use Bar Keepers Friend.

Strongly recommend spending the extra to add on the 12-Inch Stainless Everyday Pan with Dome Cover. This along with the 7-piece set covers all of our stovetop needs.

If you do use these for oven cooking, be very mindful of the fact that you must use a pot holder on the handles until they cool off.

I bought this set to replace two old Cuisinart pots that had broken and worn out. I have been pleased with the performance of this set so far. It offers superb non-stick functionality and it's easy to clean. My only complaints are that the pots and pans are not as heavy/thick as my previous ones and the lids don't have a "stay cool" handle. Make sure you use a pot holder when taking off the lids! All things considered, it's a well-made product and great value considering you get 14 pieces. I would recommend buying this set.

I like this set of cookware. It is a good buy for the money, and it seems as if it will hold up well. Just don't set the heat too high as it will quickly burn what is cooking and you will have to deal with the mess. These pots and pans cook well on a lower heat setting. If you cook on a lower setting, clean-up is a breeze!!
