Just don't set the heat too high as it will quickly burn what is cooking and you will have to deal with the mess. These pots and pans cook well on a lower heat setting. I have a few individual pieces of this collection, and I love them. I especially appreciate that they are oven safe. I make plenty of food that starts out on the stove top, then gets moved to the oven so these pots are great for both. My boyfriend likes my few pieces, so I bought him this set for Christmas, since we both love to cook. I'd say the only disadvantage to these pots is that they have a very sharp edge, so be careful when you wash them. I've had a few fingers cut on the edges.

I bought this cookware about a month ago despite some negative reviews. I am a good cook who enjoys trying new recipies. I wanted to replace cookware which was mismatched and old at a reasonable price. I think this set is great! I have made some wonderful dishes and the cookware cleans up nicely. Its a bit lighter than some I've seen but I think the quality is good for a home cook. If you have a restaurant you may want heavier pieces but for home use its perfect!!! I also purchaded the 6 qt. saucepot. I now have everything I need.

What is Anodized Cookware?

Anodized cookware you may have heard or seen on display in a department store. However, you may not know what it is, what are the benefits, or what kind of care he needs.

If you are not familiar with anodized cookware, it is cookware that has been through anodizing process, the provision of aluminum or aluminum alloy by a chemical electrolyte bath. PROS:

- Well constructed: heats evenly and quickly - just as advertised.
- Super easy to clean - these pans completely redefine the term "non-stick"
- Weight: Not something you think about often, in terms of cookware - but I've found the light-weight in these pans to be quite the perk - especially when it comes to weilding these around a stove

CONS:

- Handles/lids can get quite hot - which is the one reason I couldn't give these 5 stars.

As always, you will never find a perfect cookware. This Cuisinart 7 piece is no exception. It is great but not perfect. Its light weight is very impresive and handle isn't that hot after long period of cooking time. Easy to clean. The non-stick surface is better than other brand. It takes very short time to heat up stuff too. However, couple weaknesses, the lit does not have a small hole to release pressure which we have to watch out for overheat spill. Plus the lit is not the same design as the pot itself, it heats up really quick. So be careful. It is not a good idea to buy plastic handle with the lit, it will deform and loose after a while. Over all, it is better than what I expected even though I have owned this set of cookware for 4 weeks.
